DescriptionProfessor Edyta Kiedrzyńska is a scientist and a Deputy Director of the European Regional Centre for Ecohydrology of the Polish Academy of Sciences. She has experience in • Ecohydrology and Fitotechnologies; • River hydrology and nutrient transportation; • Point sources of pollution in a catchment; • The Baltic Sea contamination. She has gained the necessary experience to be a leader task conducted in hydrological and biogeochemical processes analysis in catchment scale and transport and transformation of contaminants and also uses of Hybrid Sequential Biofiltration Systems for purification of wastewater flowing out from the Wastewater Treatment Plants. She is a research manager and leader of many interdisciplinary scientific projects. She gained her scientific experience i.e. within the framework of the PROM Program International Scholarship Exchange of Academic Staff in which she completed a Scientific Internship at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, in the USA, 2019. She was also a winner of the BGF Scientific Research Stay Scholarship at the University of Tours funded by the Government of the Republic of France, 2015. She has been a key lecture and speaker at many international scientific conferences and symposia and is an author of many original scientific publications. Prof. Kiedrzyńska is a member of the UNESCO -(IHP) National Committee and also a scientific board member of the journals: Scientific Reports (NATURE), and Ecohydrology & Hydrobiology (Elsevier).
